21:30@ @Yesterday we finally had the long-awaited hanami party, the main April event. I donft know how to describe how perfect everything was. I went to Tsutsujigaoka park at 8:30 in the morning, and got a great spot under a truly beautiful tree.

The tree under which we spent the day.

I think the look on our faces says it all.

The trees were in full bloom everywhere, and the sakura petals were slowly falling as if it was pink snow. The weather was perfect, and the temperature was around 15 degrees (any warmer and the cherry blossoms would have been long gone!). According to my Japanese friends, such ideal conditions are found only one out of five times. About 15 people came, which was enough to have a good party, yet not too many as to feel crowded on the ground sheet I had borrowed. Everybody brought great food and we spent a truly wonderful, enjoyable afternoon. I had dreamed of that day for almost a month now, and it was even better than I had imagined in my wildest wet dreams. But enough rambling, take a look for yourself. (^_^)
