Our 10th Anniversary

On Monday we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Quite a milestone in view of the high divorce rate worldwide, and still going strong. We had dinner in a very nice sushi restaurant. It was expensive, but worth it. Love you honey! You can see more pics of our evening on Man’s blog.

Goodbye, George…

Well, that came as a shock. George was definitely my favorite stand-up comedian, and he’s actually the only non-music artist in my iPod, which says a lot. George made people think and laugh at the same time, something that is not easy to do. I’d like to thank George for all the good laughs he gave so many of us, and a special thanks to my buddy Stéphane Vigeant, who made me listen to George Carlin for the first time about 20 years ago. Goodbye George, and may the forces of evil get confused on the way to wherever you’re going…

Vernal Equinox

2008-03-20

Today is the vernal equinox, one of Japan’s national holidays. In Japanese, it is called “shunbun”, and corresponds to one of 24 solar terms found in most East-Asian traditions. On this day, most Japanese go visit their family grave, and hold family reunions.

As for me, well, this is just another day off, which I needed on account that I was at the 4th party of the month last night. Yep, the end of the school year calls for lots, and lots of parties - still three or four to go (I’m losing count, here)…
