Ok, I watch a reality show on Monday nights called “Ainori” (Car Pool), which involves about 8 boys and girls in their 20’s circling the globe in a pink mini van. Participants interact with each other, until they “fall in love” with one of the other participants, at which point they have to ask them to go back to Japan with them. If the beloved one refuses, the one who declared his/her intentions has to drop out and goes back to Japan, alone, like a loser. As you can imagine, participants come and go, and new members join in every month. Last week, THIS guy joined the group. Now, don’t get me wrong here, everybody has their flaws and God knows I have mine, so it’s not my place to make fun of other people’s, ahem, shortcomings. But when it comes to a show based on a romantic premise, you’d think they could get better-looking dudes. And it’s not like the producers don’t have a wide range of choices open to them: literally hundreds of eligible bachelors apply every week to become participants, and the producers usually pick reasonably good-looking ones. Where did this guy come from, anyway? Either he has connections, or he threatened someone with that Yakuza (Japanese gangster) face of his. In any case, I bet this guy is going back to Japan alone, dude!

Well, I wanted to launch my new blog on June 1st, but I’m up and running already, so what the hell! It took a while to set everything up the way I wanted, and although there is still a lot to do, the basic framework for my blog is essentially complete. Since I was doing everything with MS Word before, which was extremely time-consuming (I know, I was insane!!!), using Word Press allows me to write in French too. It’s so much easier now, being able to write, edit and publish from pretty much anywhere, even from my cell phone! Gradually, I’ll rebuild all the other sections of my original page, until the top page basically becomes just a welcoming one. But for the time being, I really should be concentrating on my studies (sigh).

Yo! This is a sneak preview of what my blog’s gonna look like starting in June, not to mention French as an additional language. Cool, eh?
