Ainori #289

  • ja

Ainori is a popular reality show in Japan, aired on Fuji TV on Monday nights at 23:00.

In August 2005, I discovered that Ainori was not only popular in Japan, but also all over the world thanks to Bit Torrent technology. I decided to write a summary of each episode, and do a translation of the weekly photo captions from the official site. What do I get out of this? I get to improve my Japanese, I get more traffic to my blog, but above all, I get the satisfaction of knowing many non-Japanese speakers all over the world can appreciate a truly unique reality show. Enjoy, and don’t hesitate to post any comments or questions you may have.

Ainori #289

WARNING! THIS IS A SPOILER!

Hide

Aya

Arashi

Oh, boy! Here we go again… Hide still has no clue as to what is going on. Aya and Arashi are obviously getting closer, and it seems he’s getting some bad vibe about them, but he can’t see it clearly. Umechan is a smart girl, she knows what’s going on. She even tried to help Hide and Aya spend some time together by asking Arashi to race her. She’s so sweet. Yep, Hide will definitly be on the show for a while…

TK

Mie

suuzan

Now here’s the funny thing: TK has started suffering from the infamous Hide syndrome. Mie confided to him crying that she was having trouble showing her affection to the guy she likes. She’s was obviously talking about Suuzan, but TK is now convinced that she likes him! Good grief, this is getting quite interesting…

Special treat for non-Japanese speakers :-)

Sylvain-san hisashiburi desu ne! i didnt visit your blog for sometime, gomen ne! (^,^;)> but i still enjoy your reviews about Ainori! TK is really funny and stupid, dont you think so? i have the feelings that the other members at ainori redicule him…what do you think? no one is taking him seriously. im feeling sorry for Hide..if he confess his feeling to Aya soon, then he’ll leave Ainori finally….hmm but its getting exciting.

Silvain-san, doomo arigatoo for this excellent blog – you will see me visit often, although we are still about 2 months behind in New York City (we watch at 10:30pm on Monday nights). However, I am aware that Hide has reached Ukraine – based on your knowledge, how many countries has he been too and how far does he trail Seki-chan for the all time lead? On another front, might you know where one could obtain all Ainori broadcasts since the series began?

Go busata!! ^^ Sorry for not posting in a while, but I was busy doing some translation work.
Saaate, what do I think about what’s going on? Heh, well, in my opinion the world’s about to come to an end. Think about it people: tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, wars… and now, a human beign falling for an alien!! The most boring and plain dude ainori’s ever had in its history!! Wonder if Uchuujin Arashi’s related to Rasputin or something. No matter how weird-looking and plain he is, women are really all over him!! First Mikarin (although shortly), then Nacchi, and now Aya. As I said before: even though Hide turned Omami and Takano down like a third grader would have, I preffer him over that, that… thing. But, alas, he’s so dense when it comes to reading his aite’s feelings. However, I believe there’s still hope. I mean, even if an asteroid’s about to destroy our planet, we cling to the possibility someone or something will come to our rescue. In Aya’s case, I hope her common sense will save her in the end from giving that fatal step: becoming a Rosemary of our days, that is.
TK… man, how I pity him. MIE will tear him apart when kokuhaku time comes. Damn, the more you love in this show, the more you suffer. Geez, Oose and Bukuro will be remembered as “the last nice couple before the storm”. The way things are going MIE will probably receive the same from Suuzan… or maybe not? Ume chan’s sweet… so much that I even want for her the best when she finds her significant other. But that will happen eventually. In the meantime, I hope she keeps helping Hide the way she did in this episode. The poor guy will need all the assistance he can get… if not more.
ジャ、達者でナ、Bouchard さん!(by the way, how’s your name written in katakana, I wonder?). I have a penname myself: 霧島允(キリシママコト). Anyway, just curious. -_^
BTW (Go Sox!! The World Series are yours to take!!).

Aww… What a sad episode, everyone’s so down this week! They need to throw in a few power-up notebook jokes to lighten up the mood. I wanted to see more of cool Suzan though! The highlight of this episode for me.
