Good Luck!

さて、来週はだれかラブワゴンへ向かうらしいんだけど、なんかひさよんの髪の毛っぽくね?お楽しみだね!

I don’t think Atsushi should have been fired just because Goki “fell in love” with him. When he was interviewed by the other staff, he made it clear he’d never even spoke with her except for the times when he asked her to put the mike on. He didn’t do anything to make her develop her feelings towards him, and therefore he shouldn’t be accountable for the actions that resulted because of it.

  2. Sylvain Says:

    >Aya

What I meant is Atsushi should have merely been replaced (not fired – there’s plenty of work for a soundman at Fuji TV) by another soundman when Goki confessed her attraction to him. What he should get fired for is leaving his equipment on, resulting in Outlaw’s dropping out.

  3. NewYorkJihen Says:

It can’t be Hisayon leaving, I think it’s going to be Izumi. Hisayon hasn’t been developed as a character yet. Now Outlaw- that’s development. He started out as a creep and did a 720 degree turn!

  4. Chk Says:

Looks like everything was set up by the director or the crew to have the sound left turned on so Outlaw can hear Goki’s conversation. They couldnt come out and tell Outlaw about Goki’s feeling for the soundman so they set everything up so he can find out himself. Very devious. Also, why wasnt Outlaw allowed to say goodbye to the rest of the cast?

  5. megumi Says:

yarase (set up) or not, I was really shocked by this ep. I cried so much when I found out Autoro was leaving. Autoro was my favorite member.. not only from this group but from all the other members I’ve been watching from before. I’ve never been so supportive of a guy member (like I did for Autoro) before, let alone fangirl over the internet about him. XD but I wish the best for Autoro & Goki..

  6. Baka Says:

Why do you guys call him Outlaw? Anyway, it was totally set up. Even having the audio guy get in camera, on the bus, in front of Goki was unnatural. And I bet the director told Autoro to stay in the bus by himself. Autoro was pretty freaky when he snapped, but then the camera guy provoked him too; he was like “I’m trying to get a shot and WTF you doing to my camera%#(*^” All I have to say is, Ai Nori director is an idiot. And I don’t like Goki either. She’s scary. She’s selfish. I like Izumi; she understood how Autoro felt.

  7. Marcelo Says:

And Hisayon as well, Baka. Hey people, Outlaw may have reacted as if he had learned nothing from the time he spent with the group, but you must admit his reaction was only human. We all have pride, and Outlaw´s was stepped on bad by that incident, whether an accident or a setup. Anyway, you´re right, the director´s an idiot and should be, if nor fired, transffered immediately. He simply screwed up what could have been an interesting and heart warming outcome. whether Goki had rejected him or not. I would have taken made the same decision he did! Man, he was so hurt he even decided stop things abruptly, leaving right away without saying goodbye to the rest of the group. Seppuku for Ainori. Period.

  8. jennycubachi Says:

Outlaw is such a changed man, and to have this event occurr because of the soundman’s inability to shut off a recording is disgraceful. I don’t know why nothing is done to him. I don’t want to see Outlaw go because of this. Goki had feelings for the soundman and its something she can’t shy away from. I do see her point in leaving the show. Either this is a ploy by the Ainori producers to create an intense show (and mess with the feelings of their participants) or the soundman is a baka. I would love to see what is next for this show.

  9. Miriam Says:

We call him Outlaw because that’s his nickname on the show. An Outlaw is what they call a host, who isn’t part of a faction/group.

Man, this episode was sad. I totally understand why Outlaw getting pissed. I really wish he could have had a proper kokuhaku. I hope he’ll stay the nice guy he’s become on the show and I hope they’ll show him sometime in the future (maybe in a special or something).

  10. megumi Says:

from the looks of people’s reactions, I’m afraid of Ainori’s “future”. I just hope they don’t lose fans/viewers..

& I still like to type Autoro instead of Outlaw. lol

  11. Sylvain Says:

    Way to go, Megumi (笑)

Actually, I decided to call him “Outlaw” because that’s what I thought is name meant, plus when I looked it up in a katakana-English dictionary, the word “outlaw” came up. However, I had no idea it meant “a host who isn’t part of a group”. Thanks for the info, Miriam.

I don’t think Ainori will lose fans over this, unless it happens again. As some of you said, it still isn’t clear whether this was a (partially) staged stunt or not.

    ちょっとアヤシいなぁ。。。

  12. umi Says:

I am reluctant to believe that this was a setup. Ainori is usually all about the kokuhaku’s that don’t work out. They have never had something like this happen in the past, and it is really uncertain that they would start now.

I think the unnatural angle of the sound man going in front of Goki wasn’t necessarily unnatural. It is obvious they take several breaks and an episode happens in the course of couple of days. We don’t see everything. We usually don’t see the mic-ing up process that we saw today. It is concievable that the sound guy periodically checks the sound in the car. Also, that they take more breaks and a lot of lull and long periods are cut out of the show.

I think it really was a stupid mistake. I also think that the show tries to be very secretive about the others love interest. That’s why interesting love triangles continue.

People have stayed on the bus past shitsuren/rejection before. Like the time seki-chan’s love interest retired and he had to get over her to meet and fall for someone new. It is sort of happening now with suuzan (or hopefully it will). That’s why they allowed Goki and Outlaw to stay until THEY wanted to leave. I don’t think they ever kick someone off the show unless it is a medical emergency.

It is also interesting to remember that there was that girl that fell for the bus driver and it worked out. Eh. I guess that driver wasn’t permanant staff. Also, no one else was crushing on her, so, no hearts were broken.

Sorry that this is a long comment.

  13. umi Says:

I also just wanted to clarify. I think the show allows for people to grow past things and to change. They don’t kick people out because there is always possibility for the people to change. And if there is no koi/romance going on, then that is when they plan outings and activities for the members.

  14. Jenna Says:

  15. mv Says:

Whether it was an accident or a setup I am disappointed to see both Goki and Outlaw go, esp. Outlaw since he grew so much. I hope Outlaw will be able to look past this incident, as a sort of an obstacle, and not go back to his old self.

  16. Nhung Says:

I just heard about this show. Like it. by the way, i’m a Vietnamese woman :-)
