Ainori #280

  • ja

Ainori is a popular reality show in Japan, aired on Fuji TV on Tuesday nights at 23:00.

Last week, upon checking my statistics, I noticed my referrers included a message board I had never been to. To my surprise, some non-Japanese fan of Ainori had posted a link to my blog indicating I was talking about each episode in English. Realizing that there must be many fans out there unable to understand Japanese, I decided to write a more detailed account of each episode starting this week. Enjoy, and don’t hesitate to post any comments or questions you may have.

Omami

Hide

Takano

Warning: If you haven’t seen episode #280 yet, this is a SPOILER!This week the group is in Bahrain, and they decide to continue the trip on foot, since Omami, who just got out of the hospital, cannot ride in a car. They take a few rooms in a cheap hotel, and use it as a base from which they can visit the small country, no larger than Tokyo’s 23 wards. Last week Omami realized that Takano was given a ring by Hide, but this week it’s Takano’s turn to realize that Hide had given the ring she had bought with him in the UAE to Omami. Takano is mad at Hide for that, and Omami doesn’t talk to Hide because she thinks he likes Takano. Omami invites Suuzan to talk, and Hide thinks she likes Suuzan because of that. At the same time, Mikarin thinks Suuzan and Omami have something going on, which finally makes her decide to ask Suuzan to go back to Japan with her. But Suuzan is still thinking about Natchi, who left last week, so it seems he will not be able to accept Mikarin’s invitation. Everybody is utterly confused, including yours truly. I’ve been watching Ainori for 4 or 5 years now, and I can’t remember such a puzzling situation. From what they showed of next week’s episode, Suuzan will refuse Mikarin’s invitation, but she won’t let him off the hook so easily…

Well, am glad to find your blog cause I’ve been watching Ainori for quite a long time now but it’s been a on and off thing for me. I have to admit the time it is on air in Japan is pretty late for me or I don’t usually turn on the TV on Mondays so I could realize that I missed another episode but I started following each episode without missing one was during Ose’s . Now I just saw the conclusion of love triangle of Takano, Hide and Omami but unfortunately Hide turned down both of them. I was shocked cause I really thought he likes Omami. One thing I like about this program is that the people who joined this trip and didn’t become successful to find their true loves are real good sport. More power to your blog!!!

nice one.. i haven’t watched ainori regularly for years, but when I first came to japan is was one of the shows I never missed. at the time ther was nothing like this to help comprehension of the show, so.. this is great!

conincidentally, I met omami a coupe of days before this episode aired. we had just played the first night of our rekohatsu event at the garage in shimokitazawa, and walking to a bar after the show my girl recognised omami smoking apple tabacco from a hookah on the street. we talked an she ended up coming to our show the next night. she was fun, and very cute. anyway, I did end up watching the next episode the next evening, and.. well, i thought mami was not a bad little actress.. i also heard that after this particular episode was over with, and omami was off the bus, the people of the ainori bbs aired tyeir true, and not so supportive, thoughts of the oh so.. cute omami!
